How do I contact Boat Days?
Email boatdays@bycliff.io. Tell us what you were doing and what happened, and include the phone number you sign in with so we can find your account. Screenshots help. Boat Days is made by By Cliff LLC, and the person who reads that inbox is the person who builds the app.
I have a question about how the app works
Most of them are answered in the FAQ: what Boat Days is, how invites work, what hosting costs, how gas money is paid, and what happens to your contacts and your data. If it isn't there, email us and we'll add it.
I can't sign in
Sign-in is a one-time passcode sent by text to your phone number. If the code never arrives, check that the number is right and that your phone isn't blocking unknown senders, then request a new one. Boat Days is in closed beta, so a number that hasn't been invited yet is asked to join the waitlist instead. If you've changed numbers and lost access, email boatdays@bycliff.io from an address we can tie to your account.
Gas money, payments and the Captain plan
Riders pay a captain's gas-money chip-in inside the app, and captains are paid out through Stripe. The Captain plan that unlocks hosting is an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancelling or refunding it goes through your store account. If a payment looks wrong, email us with the date and the boat day and we'll sort it out.
Someone is behaving badly
Open their profile in the app and choose Block. Blocking hides the two of you from each other across the app, and you can report them with a reason at the same time so we see it. For anything that needs a human to look at right away, email us directly.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile → Settings → Account, scroll to Delete account, and confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent. What is deleted and what is kept is spelled out on the account-deletion page. If you can't sign in to do it yourself, email us and we'll delete it for you.
